Mina Alishahi

Assistant Professor at Open Universiteit

Mina earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in applied mathematics in Iran. She completed her Ph.D. (with honors) in Computer Science from the Security Group at Laval University in Canada in 2016. 

Following her doctoral studies, she embarked on a research career at the Istituto di Informatica e Telematica within the National Research Council (IIT-CNR) in Italy in 2016. In 2018, she had the opportunity to visit the Security Group at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. From 2018 to 2021, Mina served as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Security Group at Eindhoven University of Technology, also in the Netherlands. Presently, she holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Open Universiteit in the Netherlands.

Her research is primarily centered around Privacy-preserving Data Analysis, Federated Learning, Trustworthy AI, and AI security and privacy.
